Välkommen! Welcome!
The Swedish Cultural Society of Cleveland connects people of all backgrounds but with a common purpose of supporting, promoting and celebrating Swedish culture in the greater Cleveland area.
Member meetings or get-togethers are held in the months of January, March or April, May, June (Midsummer celebration), September, October (Leif Erikson Day), and December (Lucia/Christmas celebration). Time and day of the month may differ. Other local events of interest may be announced as they come up. During some of our meetings, we sing the Swedish national anthem and enjoy an informative program followed by a time to socialize during our tasty fika.
Three events that we organize/support/sponsor are the Midsummer celebrations in June, Leif Erikson day in October and Lucia celebrations in December.
The Swedish Cultural Society of Cleveland’s founding roots go back to 1927. Our meetings are at times hosted by a member in their residence.
If you are of Swedish heritage or simply interested in Sweden, the Swedish language and culture, please feel free to reach out to us. In the meantime, enjoy browsing our website. We hope to hear from you soon.
