Hello all!
It’s that time of year again – LUCIA Celebration!
This year there will be two celebrations
Saturday, December 14th in the afternoon, is VASA Lucia. There will be fika (coffee, bread and cookies, no dinner). Peace Lutheran church, 3740 Mayfield Rd, Cleveland Heights
Sunday, December 15th in the afternoon, is Swedish Cultural Society Lucia, and there will be julbord, (Swedish potluck dinner, and dessert), Gates Mills Community House, 1460 Chagrin River Road, Gates Mills
We will be rehearsing in Church of the Savior, Cleveland Height, from 10-11am on
– November 16 (I am unavailable the next two Saturdays)
– December 7
We will be in the first room to the right after the stairs (coming in the main entrance).
Please let me know if you are able to make it so I can plan accordingly. We will have a small program with easy songs, so any ages are welcome.
If the children are busy with other activities but would like to be in the performance, they are more than welcome to do that. Just let me know.

If you are interested joining us, or know anybody that might be interested, please forward the event information to them or email us for further information. Last year, 2023, we had about twelve or so children between three to sixteen years of age; Lucia, tärnor, stjärngossar. The program is informal and fun. We hope to instill/keep a sense of tradition to all generations especially the younger.
