Midsummer 2025

Dear Members,

Save the date, Saturday June 21st, and join us for Midsummer celebrations in Moreland Hills. A member family has once again volunteered and is graciously hosting. Some of our typical activities include: Maypole cladding and raising, singing & dancing “Små Grodorna” and other traditional songs and dances, tipsrunda (quiz), zipline for the younger children just to name a few.

Last year’s pole raising was a bit sketchy at first; but surely this year will be a success too. Bring your strong and steady arms and hands.

This is a Swedish Cultural Society (SCS) members only event with SACC Ohio members invited as guests and to register for the event click here (you need to register and login to the website first, if not already done so).

The event is a potluck event with a sign up list.

Bring greenery like leafy twigs etc., and flowers to dress the Maypole.
