Hard copies of the Festival Guides are limited this year. CIFF is moving away from paper. It’s a digital world. For those attached to the paper program guide, they are available at CUYAHOGA County Library locations, the Cedar-Lee Theater on Lee Road, and some establishments ON Lee Road. I suggest calling the Cuyahoga County location you plan to visit to ensure that they do have them available. A limited number are available at all Cuyahoga County Public Libraries https://cuyahogalibrary.org/branches, as well as the Rocky River and the Westlake Porter libraries. Look for them as well at the Cedar Lee Theater.

THERE WILL BE A TOTAL OF 16 VOUCHERS GOOD FOR ONE TICKET. The codes are not in my possession yet. They are good for on-premise/in-person viewing only. Which means from April 9 through April 18, 2026. They are not redeemable for “Best of Fest” the digital streaming portion which will be Sunday, April 19 through Sunday, April 26, 2026. Tickets for Streaming portion will be a full ticket price as no discounts apply to the streaming portion. They might create a package of ten tickets at a reduced price, however, that has not yet been announced.

2026 April – SCS Board Meeting
The Board will convene to set strategic budgeting for 2026 as well as logistics for Midsummer 2026.

2026 May 16 – SCS Meeting, Sköna Maj
Dear SCS Member,

2026 June 20 – SCS Midsummer celebration
Dear SCS Member,
You are welcome to celebrate Midsummer at the Nilsson’s in Moreland Hills. This is a potluck event. Signup, for attendance and food items to bring, using the website (Member login > Volunteer sign-up).
Fee schedule (preliminary) is based on when SCS receives the cleared payment (Zelle is preferred):
>3 weeks prior to event: $15 per person for SCS members and $20 per person for all others.
<2 weeks prior to event: $20 per person for SCS members and $25 per person for all others.
<1 week prior to event: $25 per person for SCS members and $30 per person for all others
Children under 12: $0 per child for SCS members and $5 per child for all others

SACC Ohio’s Annual Crayfish event. Date, location and time is TBD.

2026 August 27 – Raoul Wallenberg Day
Raoul Wallenberg Day in the USA is celebrated on August 27, 2026, honoring the Swedish diplomat who saved thousands of Hungarian Jews. The Embassy of Sweden in Washington, D.C. marks this day for civil courage, with 2026 award recipients traveling to Stockholm, Sweden, for a ceremony on August 27.
Wallenberg is the second person in history (Winston Churchill being the first, Mother Teresa the fifth et al.) to be made an honorary American citizen by an act of Congress.
This is not a specific SCS of Cleveland event, rather an FYI.

2026 Mar 20 – Concert, Zara Larsson at the Agora Theatre
Swedish artist Zara Larsson is to perform at the Agora Theatre in Cleveland on March 20th.
Tickets are $147 and up;
$147 for GA (you stand) and in the Mezzanine (2nd floor/ balcony seats) it is currently $332 per ticket. Doors 7pm.
2026 Jan 17, 7pm – SCS meeting
The next Swedish Cultural Society of Cleveland meeting, the White Elephant gift exchange, has been scheduled to take place at the Bergman’s in the Heights. RSVP to Rolf by Wednesday the 14th of January.
